Where did the last month go? It was still snowing here last Friday and is really cold and windy today. The good news is that the Corvair is home, again, with a new pack of T-145s. I am trying to break them in properly by not driving it too far, charging correctly, etc. This weekend, I plan on doing a specific gravity on all 60 cells of my 20 batteries for a reference point. So far, the improvement from the other battery pack, of which 2 batteries were pretty bad, is huge. Even with the cooler temps, low 30's, the voltage sag is nothing compared to the old pack. It is a fun ride, again. The T-145's are heavier so ordered new coil springs for the front as the car sits pretty low. Those will be here in 4-6 weeks. The next plan is to have the seals replaced and run a lighter weight fluid. That should help get me rolling more quickly with less amperage. I also came into a set of tires from a Prius that I'll run in the summer. All things considered, I'll be very curious to check the range with those additions/changes/upgrades.
